RAONS. Associació de Ciències Polítiques i Sociologia de la Catalunya Central
(REASONS. Association of Politics and Sociology of Catalunya Central).

We are an entity without spirit of profit, born on 18th June of 2003.

Our area of performance is Catalunya Central, that is, Anoia, Bages, Berguedà, Osona and Solsonès, as well as the Alta Segarra, Lluçanès and Moianès.

Doctorates, Bachelors or students of any of these two careers can be members of the entity. In any case, should be persons who live, work or have bonds with Catalunya Central.

Goals:

1. Agglutinating the students, Bachelos and doctorates in Politics and/or Sociology who live, work or have sustain strong bonds with the Catalunya Central, favoring the communication and the feeling of belonging to the collective.
2. Fostering the reflection and the debate about policy, politics and the society.
3. Improving the knowledge of the local and supralocal reality, across analyses and studies elaborated from the prospect of the political science and/or the sociology.
4. In collaboration with the Col·legi de Doctors i Llicenciats de Ciències Polítiques i Sociologia de Catalunya:
   • Spreading the university studies of these disciplines.
   • Introducing the profile of the politologist and the socioligst as clear-cut polyvalent professional for some knowledge and skills own, different of other specialities of the social sciences
   • Promoting the continued formation, training and the work insertion of the professionals of these disciplines.
   • Promoting the join to the college of the graduates and doctorates.
